Before a child can read, they must recognize the building blocks. We focus on the Arabic alphabet (Qaida), helping students identify letter shapes in their isolated, initial, medial, and final forms. By mastering the visual “look” of the Quran, kids in Columbus build the essential foundation needed for all future learning.
Once the letters are mastered, we move into joining sounds and syllables. Students learn how to connect letters into words and words into full Ayahs (verses). Our goal is to move beyond “stuttering” through words to achieving a smooth, natural flow, allowing children to open any page of the Quran and begin reading with ease.
